Happy Thursday! Today was a very busy day. We went porcelain
shopping. Jiangxi is
known for the most beautiful porcelain in all of China and it is
absolutely exquisite. There
were so many pieces I wanted to get but it would have been so
hard to get home. We did
settle on a dinnerware set in the traditional blue and white
porcelain style with a dragon
pattern. It is for 6 which is perfect for our family. We got
several gifts there too.
After the porcelain store we went to the TengWang Pavilion. It
is absolutely gorgeous.
There was a music/dancing show on the top floor of the pavilion
and it was really nice.
We went out for a group lunch, it was fun but a long morning.
When we got back to the
hotel we all took a nap...my first in China.
We had a pizza party in the playroom last night and guess who is
crawling? Yes, Gracie
can crawl. She looks like a soldier on the battle field trying
not to be seen. It's very cute!
This is going to be short since we're getting ready to go get
Gracie's passport and then
straight to the airport to head to Guangzhou. I have mixed
emotions about leaving
Nanchang. It's very much a typical Chinese city and we have
really enjoyed it. Not many
things are like the western world in Nanchang. The people are
great, though. This
province is the only place Gracie has ever been and it is a bit
sad to be taking her away.
I'm so glad she's coming home with us but this place will always
have a special place in my
heart. I really wish we could stay a few more days.
Our next post will be from the White Swan! |
