LAST POST FROM CHINA!

Today we did the red couch picture which Maggie was not too pleased with...not many of the children were as you can see from the picture. We also had our consulate appointment where we all had to swear that all of the info that we had given was accurate. Maggie is now able to enter the United States. Since Jeff didn't come with me, she will not become a US citizen until we readopt her. You know what that means...more paperwork! But I will do anything for her.

Who could have believed that the sad little girl we met a little over a week ago is the same bubbly little girl that we see today? I am so in awe of how God has knit this little girl into our family. I know with absolute certainty that God's plan was for her to be our daughter, and she hasn't even met her father or brothers yet!

I will post from home as soon as I can, but before I go to bed I want to thank~

~God, for this awesome opportunity to serve you in obedience. Thank you for taking me out of my comfort zone to lead us on this journey of adoption. We promise to love this child as you love her and to bring her up in Your ways.

~Jeff, for praying about adoption even though you thought I was crazy at first. You are going to be blessed because you listened to His voice, not mine.

~Doug and Kate, whose adoption of their beautiful daughter was God's sign to me that we needed to pray about adoption. And a special thank you to Brynn, who made the year go faster with her laughter and hugs. You and Maggie will be special friends I am sure.

~Our church family, for praying, for loving us, for feeding my family while I was gone and for all of the girly shower gifts...we love you all. We know that Maggie will be welcomed with open arms.

~Kristy, how can I thank someone for what you have done for us these past 2 weeks? You have been my support system in China and Maggie now has her special Ai eeee that she can always share a special bond with. I will forever be grateful for your friendship. You were everything that I needed.

~Kristy's family, thank you for giving up Kristy for 2 weeks. Robbie, you are so blessed and I know that you knew that before, but now you must really know what a gem you have in Kristy. A huge thank you to Kristy's mom for staying with Robbie and the boys to help them. You have raised a beautiful daughter and you should be very proud.

~My mom, for being the kind of Mom that made me want to have a daughter of my own. You also thought I was crazy at first, but have supported us all the way through...you finally have that granddaughter that you have always wanted!

~Our families, thank you for being so excited about Maggie. She is so lucky to have such a big family to come home to! (John and Lucy, this includes you!)

~Our boys, you have always supported Dad and I throughout this whole experience. Your sister is a lucky girl!

~Our agency, you have prayed for us and taken wonderful care of us at home and here in China. I will be forever grateful for the way God has used you to bless our family. You led us to our Maggie...what else can I say?

~My "gabby" girlfriends who I met online, but now have met in person. All of you will always hold a special place in my heart because we have shared this common experience .

~Kim, for sending scripture to us every morning and for posting to my blog...your friendship means so much. I can't wait to see Kate and Maggie play for the first time!

~The many many friends who have supported us here in China with your encouraging comments. They were our link to home. Kristy was so amazed at the people we don't even know who have posted. I hope that our story and journey has touched you in some way.

~Joe and Jen, for this wonderful website. You have been kind and helpful every step of the way. I can't wait until you are back in China for Adrienne's sister.

I hope that is everyone.

She loves bubbles!

Maggie and Mama on the red couch.

Best red couch picture we could get...
none of them were very happy.

Our American get away

Maggie and I with our wonderful guides,
Rosa and Maggie.
We leave early in the morning. Our main flight from Beijing to Chicago leaves around 4:40am your time, so those who want to light their candles can do so at any point from then on until 9:30pm on Friday...yes, it will be a long travel day. Keep those prayers coming. The next pictures you will see will be of Maggie meeting her Daddy and brothers...ohh, I am already crying just thinking about it!
