We are still waiting. We continue each month to get
closer. We hope to get our referral at the end of June but
we also know it could be the end of July.
As I write we are finishing up the school year. Only two
days left. I feel sad because the kids are all moving on
to another grade. Time is marching on. The hardest one to
handle is Audrey Kate is done with kindergarten. I am
having a hard time watching her grow up.
They have all had a great school year.
We’ve had a busy May with Pappy’s birthday, Mother’s Day,
C.J.’s birthday, Audrey Kate’s dance recital, and a
handful of other events. Our life is very full and we
wouldn’t have it any other way. We just can’t wait to
share all of this with our sweet little Sam.
To help pass the time we are making Sam a “100 Good Wishes
Quilt”. We need your help. In northern China it is a
tradition to welcome a new life with this quilt. Each
friend or family member contributes a patch to the quilt
along with a prayer or a good wish for the child. If you
would like to participate please send a 10 inch square of
100% cotton fabric along with a 1x5 inch piece of the same
fabric. Attach a prayer, wish or scripture verse for Sam.
The large piece will be part of the quilt. The smaller
piece and the wish will go into a scrapbook Sam will have
forever. Since we will not have photos or keepsakes of the
day she was born, or from her first months of life, we
hope this quilt will show her how much she was loved right
from the beginning.
We will update you at the end of June. Hopefully our front
page of this site will have a picture of our sweet Sam!!! |
