What a crazy summer it has been. We received a call from
our agency one year to the day of our log in date, June
27th with the first news of Samantha. Three days later we
saw her face for the first time. The referral arrived at
our house at 1:30 p.m. We waited until our friends and
family gathered at our house that night at 6:00 to open
it. Yes, it was the hardest wait!! It was worth it. We all
celebrated Samantha as we opened her referral.
It was an overwhelming experience and one we will never
forget. The referral party was topped off with pizza and a
cake.
My dear friends gave me a shower on August 7th. Samantha
was truly showered with gifts. We have everything we need
for her and more. You guys really out did yourselves.
Thank you for the quilt squares. So far we have 28
squares. They all are unique and special. We have a long
way to go to get to 100 so keep them coming.
We are all so excited to finally be in the last stages of
preparations to travel. We just can’t wait to see Sam and
hold her in our arms. Please pray for safety for us as we
travel and peace for Sam as she joins her forever family.
