Friday, July 10, 2015 LI RIVER AND YANGSHUO We took a boat trip down the Li River today. All we can say is,Wow! Truly a spectacular visual experience. The whole 4 hour boat ride was incredible as we past mountain after mountain with the most unusual peaks and lush vegetation. We took too many pictures of the incredible landscape to post, but here are some of the ones we selected: At the end of the day, we saw a performance that was produced by the director of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and the Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremonies. The setting for the performance was the Li River itself and the incredible mountains. This is a shot of the stage before the show. During the show, they lit up the surrounding mountains, and the performance was done over the water, using the river as the stage. We actually bought the DVD if you want to see it . .
