Ni Hao!
Today was an interesting day. We walked through the famous
Tiananmen Square and toured the Forbidden City of the past
emperor's of China. We learned about the different dynasties and
walked in the 40C weather until we couldn't look at another
pagoda.
The most important part of the day was an orientation meeting
where we received a booklet with new pictures of Annabel and
some information about her recent activities. The orientation
was about the "gotcha day" and a little about the process we
will go through tomorrow. There was a great deal of emotion in
the meeting as we all exchanged pictures of our new babies. Zhao
Jin Shuang (Annabel) even has a close friend in the group (Zhao
Jin Yuan). We talk about getting the girls together during the
next week or so to try and ease the transition. We expect lots
of crying tomorrow.
- Next posting will be GOTCHA DAY!
P.S. - Mia made a friend on the
trip. One of the moms brought her sister Michelle and Mia has
been stalking her the entire trip. Anytime we are on the bus,
Mia is sitting next to Michelle and they are talking up a storm.
